Hey , That's a bit strange! Are you sure you didn't apply for one when it was first brought in? We introduced director identification numbers (https://www.abrs.gov.au/director-identification-number/who-needs-apply-and-when) on the 1st of November 2021. How long have you been a director for? As we require personal identity documents to verify before we issued a director ID it is unlikely that anyone could have applied on your behalf. If you are concerned or have lost or had your identity documents stolen then we'd suggest speaking further with our client identity support centre (https://www.ato.gov.au/General/Online-services/Identity-security-and-scams/Help-for-identity-theft/).
