When trying to identify myself with the MyGovID the app shuts down. I have reinstalled the app without solving the problem and also tried two different services using MyGovID.

The myGovID requires a compatible phone or smart device to work. You can double check the combability of your phone by looking at the Google Play app page for androids and iphones.


Since you've already tried re-installing the app and tried two different services. Here are some other tips and tricks you might have more luck with:


  • switch networks (for example, changing from Wifi to mobile data)
  • clear cache and data in settings
  • turning off your device off and on

Let us know how you go and if the problem persists.
