I submitted an application to get my MES statement on 17th July 2023. It’s been more than 6 weeks, will I receive it via post or a message in myGov inbox? Who should I contact if I didn’t receive it before my tax’s due date which is is 30th Oct 2023

Is there a way to check the progress aside from the website?

Hi @Icyyy

This is our latest advice about delayed MES statements.

To ensure you 're not disadvantaged by the delay, lodge your tax return by the due date as though you have your MES.

When you receive your MES, if it is different to what you lodged in your tax return, you will need to lodge an amendment. See our website for more info about the MES delay.

Hi again @Icyyy,

Have you received your MES yet?

We’ve been made aware that Services Australia is experiencing processing delays for their MES applications.

We’re currently assessing the impact of the delays and will provide further advice and guidance on our website in the coming days.

Tax returns are due on the 31st of October but please hold tight for now and we'll update you here when we can.
