Hi,

I am trying to track the process of my tax return however, the myGov Code Generator app is giving me an error message when I try to log in. "we can't register this device" followed by "A device is already registered to your myGov account. Go to your myGov Account settings to remove the device, then try again."


My mobile phone is the only device I have registered. I cannot access the code via SMS as I no longer have access to the mobile phone number registered with myGov account. I was a temporary visitor in Australia and have now moved back to the UK and had downloaded the app so I could still access myGov to track my tax return.


Is there any other way to access myGov account or another way to track the progress of my tax return.

Hey @Macluc24,


As you've changed numbers the MyGov code generator app will be linked to your old number. To access your MyGov account and to be able to use the code generator app again you may need to create a new MyGov account and re link to us. If you're wanting to use the same email address, you'll need to request to have it released.
