If I have a $100K unused carried-forward super contribution cap from the past 5 years, can I make a $50K contribution from my post-tax salary this year, notify my super fund that I will be claiming it as a concessional contribution (to receive a deduction for the income tax already paid), and then ask them to split 85% to my spouse's super account?

I'm unsure if splitting to my spouse's account is limited to 85% of $27.5K, or if it can be more when the carry-forward concessional cap is involved.

Per the advice under the "Taxed splittable contributions" heading on this page, you can also split 85% of the carry-forward concessional contributions made.
