I accidently did mistake in my name while applying for my TFN. I have received my TFN with the mistaken name now. It has already been about a month. Can i reapply for it? How can i correct the name? please help. I have got no idea.
Hey @Trishnag,
No there's no need to apply again for a TFN that will cause more confusion and more than likely generate duplicate TFN's.
You'll be able to update your name and the quickest way to do this is online. However, you'll need a MyGov account linked to us to be able to do it online. You'll also need to have an Australian identity document to verify. If you don't have an Australian identity document, you're going to need to update your name by post.
