Hey, so I lodged my tax return last year for the first time through a tax agent. This time though I plan on doing tax return myself. I was told I could claim the tax agent fees from last year for this year's tax return. Is this true?

And do I just tick the box for "Cost of Managing Tax Affairs" in the return form to claim it as deduction?

Thanks in advance!!

Hey @BobbyBob,

Yes, that's correct. You'll mark that box and then you'll input the amount it cost you to have your tax done by the tax agent. Remember you won't be able to claim the expense of having your tax return prepared next year as you've done it yourself this year.
