Hi,

We lodged a paper application form for one of our clients who is a foreign director. Subsequently, we as the agent received the DIN issue letter and the client himself also received another issue letter with a different DIN. So the same person has been issued two different DIN. We believe it is an overlook by ABRS. What should we do to solve this issue?

Hello @Jzlwk,

That does sound strange. The director ID should be a unique indicator for the client. If you discuss this with the ABRS then they should be able to look into this to see whats going on and provide further advice.

I also know somebody who has been issued with 2 DIN's, so it is definitely a thing.

I understand my friend is gonna wait and see whether there's any emerging opportunity to sell his extra unwanted DIN.

These multiple instances of directors being issued with multiple DIN's makes us speculate about a lack of integrity in the DIN registration system.

(I've seen much worse derogatory descriptions used in other places.)
