Last Thursday, I tried to log onto the ATO website through MyGov. I mistyped my password three times and the website told me that my account had been locked for 2 hours. I have logged back in to do my tax return twice since then, once on 30th of September and again today, the 2nd October. The problem is that the message keeps reoccurring 'Your account is temporarily locked. You can try again in 2 hours. (RFM12)'. I don't understand why this is happening, if someone could help me figure this out, that would be great.
I'm having the same issue I'm trying to login with myID and it keeps saying try again in 2hrs I've tried different browsers and I've cleared my cache even different networks the only issue is I can't login normally login because I no longer have that old number, will I have to reset my myGov and re-link all my services

Hello @Mikko,
Normally this issue happens when your browser thinks it still has an open session and so when you try and log in again it thinks you're still in your initial tries which confuses the login in system. I would suggest clearing your browser cache/cookies, making sure your browser is up to date and disabling any ad block/anti virus on the browser. Normally if you do this it resets your browser and you will be able to log in. If you want to go the extra mile depending on your internet provider you can turn your modem off wait 20 seconds and then start it again to completely reset your connections.
