I have been continuously working part-time in child care for 2 years. My due date is January 30, 2024. Due to the nature of my job and the associated risks, I have decided to go on maternity leave starting on November 7. This gives me exactly 12 weeks until the scheduled due date. Therefore, I am inquiring about my eligibility for paid maternity leave. What happens if the child is born later than the date recommended by the doctor?

Hi @michainka

Great question, but not one we can answer for you.

Service Australia will be agency you’ll need to speak with, as they administer the payment.
