My superannuation fund closed and "merged" together with another fund around march-april this year, and the new fund automatically created an account for me. Moving forward, all my pay slips after this stated that my jobs had paid super to my old fund, so I just assumed it got automatically transferred to my new account. Now that I`m checking my new account there is no funds there after the date the funds merged.

Is this all on me, or does the employers have any responsibility for transferring to the right accounts? I`m assuming that the payments have bounced back to them. Is there any way I can get it back? Can I ask my previous employers to transfer the amount to my new super or is the process much more complicated than this?

Is this all on me,

Yes - you need to tell employer correct super account.

You need to get the fund to trace your old balance, then merge with the new account.
