Last year I changed my residency status and now on my gov it appears an ABN I created when I was younger that I have never used and am not even connected to be able to delete it- the ATO are asking me to pay money on it. I can't contact anyone from overseas and I want to delete it and solve this issue as it's clearly an error

Hi @AndreaLeeT

Hmmm.... sounds like it could be Pay as You Go Instalments?

You may need to cancel your ABN. We have a form you can fill out and send back to us, and we can fix the registration side of things.

As for the debt, that may be a little tricky to know why the reasons here.

We suggest having a look in your MyGov account and seeing what it is related to in your Statement of account.

We can discuss this with you at any time.
