Employer has now gone into voluntary liquidation owing massive tax debt. I want to know how I can find out if the ATO is taking action against my previous employer and his personal assets, as a director, as he owes me unpaid superannuation. My debt is now with the ATO as the creditor

Hi @notgood8

Sorry this has happened to you.

Your first step should be to contact the appointed liquidator and see if they can give you an update.

Superannuation is something a director can be pursed personally for and the ATO are VERY active in pursuing super In situations like this.

Thank you Toby. The liquidator said that the ATO is now the creditor in relation to my super and to contact them regarding whether or not they are pursuing him personally. I doubt they would give me that information but I would like to try if I knew who to speak to. Apparently he owes excluding a large super debt, hundreds of thousand in unpaid tax. It shocks me that this is even possible.
