i have waited 2 months for approval of a new ABN and have been told numerous things from different representatives. i need suggestions or to speak to someone higher up that can have this ABN pushed further because i am currently not working and this is massively impacting me.

I understand the urgency if you're not able to work without the ABN. That would make things extremely difficult for you. Two months does sound like a long to process an application.
Without knowing what has already been advised and it's hard to say why it's taking longer than the standard 28 days.
Have a look at check the progress of an ABN application this will give you info for the Australian Business Register (ABR) team who can investigate this for you.
Hopefully, your application won't take too much longer to process.
