I have been trying to do. TFN Application online but getting this message every time I tried to submit the TFN application for foreign passport:

"TFN application or enquiry currently unavailable. Try again later. Alternatively, if this message continues to display, download the TFN application or enquiry form and mail it to the address provided on the application. Using the paper form however may result in delayed processing timeframes compared to the online option.". I have even contacted the helpline but was told I must do it through manual submission. Seek advise if there is anything this can be done other than submit manually.

I understand how frustrating this can be.


Make sure you're applying using the link on our website. Keep in mind, you'll need to make sure you meet the eligibility conditions.


Have another try after you've cleared your cookies and cache. Perhaps also try a different web browser. You might need to do a restart of your device once you've done this.
