I'm wondering if there is a way to reclaim that payment even if it has brought my balance to $0 owing. I need it back!!

Hello @Dan4000,

Depending on what you mean by paid off will determine your options as we have very little wiggle room when it comes to the study loan accounts. This is because we only manage the collection on behalf of the Department of Education. If it was due to compulsory payments then we have the defer your payment option that you may be able to go down. However if its the more likely option that you have voluntarily paid the debt back then your options are rather limited. If this is the case you may need to discuss this with our higher education loan area.
