I am a freelance makeup artist, I have an ABN for my business, but no brand assets.

In 2024 I would like to develop a business plan, brand, and marketing plan.


To do this, I would like to conduct market research, develop a website, develop a brand (including logo, style-guide, photography style etc.), hire models and photographers for advertising and website content, and run paid advertising via social media, search, and display.


How much of the above am I able to deduct as expenses?

Are there any resources or grants to support small businesses which I may be able to apply for?

Congratulations on your new plan for 2024.

 

You can claim tax deductions for most business expenses. 

You may also be eligible for certain concessions, offsets and

rebates.

We also have Small Business Webinars you can register for that outline these and other topics with managing your Small Business.

Which is very handy.

 

Any grant and resource info can be found a Business.gov.au they provide support for businesses in

Australia with info about grants and services to help your business succeed.
