Hello,

When I do the test to check my tax residency status, they have a note saying the below:

You may request a private ruling from the ATO to determine your residency status. A private ruling is binding advice that sets out how a tax law applies to you in relation to a specific scheme or circumstance.

Do I need to apply for a private ruling as my circumstances are complicated and aren't answered by anything on your website. If so, how do I go about applying for a private ruling please?
