Hi @travis000
If you’re closing your company down, then yes you will need to lodge a tax return ensuring you mark it as a final return and can be lodged early if you’re wanting to de-register the company providing you have lodge this before 15 June, if not you will need to wait until 1 July and lodge as normal.
You can do this yourself in paper form if you do not have access to SBR enable software.
You’ll need to use a paper Company tax return 2022-2023. Cross out the 2023 in the right-hand corner and clearly mark it as 2024. In the period box the start date will be the 1 July 2023 if you are a 30 June balancer, the end date will be the date the company ceased to operate.
It can take up to 50 business days for us to process paper return once received and can also take up to 10 business days under Australia Post delivery service standards.
Please check with us prior to de-registering your company to ensure your return has been processed.
Our Closing your business page has helpful information on documents you will be required to keep once your company has been closed.

Ok thank you. How will I be notified when the return has been processed? Will I get an email or do I need to call?
Is this the address to lodge?
