We wish to transfer shares from a full-service broker to an outline broking account. There will be no change of ownership. Only the broker and HIN. The current broker insists there must be a figure in the "consideration" box of the Off Market Transfer Form. As the shares a neither being bought or sold is a value necessary? Logic would suggest the shares would simply retain their cost base and a CGT event has not taken place.
