I want to link MYGov to ATO. When they ask 2 questions its not accepting(bank details + superfund details) . Called ATO and they said since I am out of Australia and i dont have any government ID so they unable to send me a link code. I tried to provide my super membership and ABN and bank account details but service agent on phone would deny that. I have to claim refund and that too possible after linking mygov to ATO and I dont have plans to return..

I have a working Australian number and I provided the unique code to prove my ID even then!!

Hi @ajmal,


The 2 questions are based off info we've gotten from previously lodged tax returns. If you haven't lodged before, you won't be able to link your account using that method.


If we're not able to satisfactorily verify your identity we can't give you a linking code.


You may need to look at lodging another way.
