I have called Mygov, ATO, MygovID and BDMA multiple times. I have had several 2 hour long phone calls and stayed up all night trying to get help because I live overseas. They Cannot help me over the phone and have said they do not have a solution for me. There are no email addresses so I am desperate and trying anything to get some help.

I am trying to create a digital identity for my mygov account. This is the only possible way to access ATO. Myself along with other help desk staff have tried to work around this but IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO CONNECT ATO TO MY MYGOV WITHOUT DIGITAL ID. I have been transferred multiple times and no one can help me.

However, mygovID will not accept my documents because I have a new name on my passport because of marriage. I need something to link my old name to my new name. The only options they allow are a name change certificate or a marriage certificate. My marriage certificate is from overseas and they only accept Australian certificates. Because of issues Ive had in the past i also have a name change certificate with my new name. However, when i upload that document it says 'could not verify details’ code:45048 (422). The details are correct, ATO, mygov and mygovID cannot help me. The only other thing I can think of that might work is if I get an Australian marriage certificate. How do I do this when I am already married? Supposedly international certificates should work in Australia but that is simply not true when working with the government. PLEASE HELP ME. I don’t have another document.

Hi @Genmue

Looks like you’ve been through a lot trying to get this sorted. Thank you for persevering.

I won’t go through the things you’ve already done.

The only new info I can offer is, when you get that error code, as you’re already aware, it means the details could not verify.

If it can’t be verified through the multiple attempts from you and the calls you’ve made, you’ll need to go to the document issuer and have all the details on that document checked and go from there.
