Hi, Are the 186 Nomination charges, SAF, and lawyer's fee tax deductible for the employers who are sponsoring an employee?

My employer is paying the below charges for my 186 visa and are those charges tax deductible?

  • Nomination and SAF Levy Fee: $3590
  • Lawyer Service Fee: $5500

Hey @GurdeepSingh,

Yes, your employer can claim these expenses as a business deduction. They'll need to keep receipts as proof they've paid the expense.

When they lodge their tax return, they'll claim it as an operating expense as the expenses were incurred to employ people. when they lodge their tax return.
