The error message in xero I get after notifying access manager and entering abn's and software info is: SBR.GEN.AUTH.006 - A notification must exist in Access Manager for your software provider before attempting to transact. Contact the ATO or use Access Manager to notify the ATO of your hosted SBR software service. You will need to provide the following details: software provider name and/or their ABN and Software ID.

Sometimes if it doesn't work the first time you can try removing the software id and then re-adding it to try and correct the link.
When you have multiple entities make sure you've entered under the correct entity, this is most common when people use trusts and accidently put it under the trustee company instead.
When a software id has been applied in Access Manager it's usually instant. If we're doing maintenance or we've had system issues we may say give it between 1-24 hours, but that's just being cautious with expectations.
