It has been more than 6 months - the status of my tax return still says under review ‘progressing’. I have heard NOTHING from the ATO whatsoever. I have called 5 times and they said they will escalate the matter and someone will give me a call but NO one does. I need the money. Why has the Australian Government stollen my money?

Hi! My tax return logged in July 2023 is still under review. I haven’t heard anything from ATO yet. When I call them I get no answers. I don’t know what to do now.

Have you received any letters to your online services about the review? You can check for letters in My Profile > Communication > Communication history.

@nimacreates how did this end for you for last year return? I am in a similar boat with a status 'under review' for more than 4 weeks. No email, no comms.
