For Online services for foreign investors. I know the steps< https://www.ato.gov.au/online-services/foreign-investors/accessing-online-services-for-foreign-investors>. I have done Step 5: Complete the foreign investor registration. I used myGovID app to access. And exactly followed:
- Who are you representing? – select Myself to register yourself as a foreign investor
- Have you previously interacted with the ATO? Select Yes
- Do you have a linking code from the ATO?
- select No then Next
At the Link to ATO screen, read and accept the terms and conditions then select Next.
A message displayed:
- 'Unable to match information' – select Continue and go to Step 5: Complete the foreign investor registration.
It is a loop. I have made many phone calls to ATO, but no one know why and just ask me to register. I have done the registration 3 times, still not working.
It has cost me a lot of time.
I am completely stuck. And I am not the only person who are facing this problem.
Could ATO offer a effective way to solve this issue? Thanks!
