A bit of history: My ATO account was first hacked in Aug 2023. Contact, bank account & accountant details were changed. My ABN was reactivated and they re-registered my old company for GST. Access to ATO portal was locked when data breach was identified. I logged in to my ATO account for the first time today (via MyGov) to submit my tax return, and found data had been hacked yet again! This time they even added a Superannuation to my account - this has a zero balance atm.
The Ato Data Breach hotline is closed as it's after business hours!
Does anyone have any tips as the ATO were completely useless the last time I went through this. As this is my second ATO hack I am tempted to escalate and file a formal complaint - thoughts?
