Hello,

I'm having trouble linking my myGov account to the ATO.

I'm stuck on step 3.

I'm a non-resident living overseas and only have a bank account and Notices of Assessment for verification.

The system accepts all other info, but I'm receiving an error message "This does not match what is held on ATO records (APS104)" for both the date of issue and reference number when I try to enter my Land Tax Notices of Assessment.

I've double-checked the info on my bill and the Land Tax website, and tried both 2024 and 2023 Notices, but still get the same error APS104.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue and link myGov to the ATO?

Thanks for your help.

Hi @Sna,

The notice of assessment is the one we (the ATO) issues to you after you lodge your tax return.

So, when you're entering the land tax notices, I'm afraid this won't work. These are issued by the state government who are different to us. If you don't have copies of the notice of assessments we have issued, you can choose another option when linking to us. 😊
