I provide payroll services for an Australian client and I need to lodge the Single Touch Payroll (STP) via Xero. Should I lodge it using the Xero file directly, or do I need a Tax Agent Service for the lodgement? This client has previously filed their STP with another bookkeeper, so I'm seeking assistance on how to proceed in this matter.

I am a bit uncertain, and I'm wondering if you can assist me. If an individual service provider doesn't have a registered Tax Agent number, are they still able to lodge STP for their client?
