Hi everyone,
Don't waste your time with ATO staff’s suggestions. Just call the ATO number on ATO website to verify your account, as it has been hacked and ATO has put extra security measures on your account. After calling, you will have 2 days of access.
Please note
- the call might take almost ONE HOUR due to waiting times.
- This waiting time can be anticipated to increase during the tax returns period..
- this extra security measure is permanent, meaning you will need to make this ONE HOUR call again after the 2-day access period expires.
This issue has been ongoing for a long time, but they have not fixed it despite it being caused by their system getting hacked and leaking our information. ATO just put extra security to make your life easier.
