Our current Public Officer, who is an employee of our company, has suddenly resigned and will be leaving in a few days. I have the following questions:

1. We are in the process of identifying and selecting a new Public Officer. Is there any time limit within which the new Public Officer should be appointed?

2. Is it okay for the outgoing Public Officer to continue to act as the Company's Public Officer after she leaves our employment until a new Public Officer is appointed?

Hi @pradeep.kumar

1. So long as there's a current public officer, there isn't a time limit to appoint a new one. The only real time limit for appointing a public officer is when the company first commences.

2. As a public officer doesn't specifically need to be an employee, your current officer is fine. It makes sense of course to appoint someone who's active with the company. Check our primary contacts page for more detail about appointing public officers.
