Hi there,

I was wondering if i ran a group of people in a tattslotto syndicate and we were to win a major prize, even if the ticket is in my name but as mentioned we are a syndicate will the other members be made to pay tax on their winnings even though we are all shared equal partners in the syndicate?? We are not running this syndicate through Tattslotto's Syndimate platform. It is a personal syndicate where payments are made into an account for me to purchase tickets on behalf of all members.

In Australia you don't pay tax on lotto winnings anyway.

One thing I would add is that if you ever do win, be sure to transfer the money to the others asap. This is because if you let the money sit in your account and you accrue interest on it, then you would have to pay tax on the interest.
