Hi everybody how are you? I have worked in two different companies as a casual (average monthly salary 4400) and they always withheld 15% in taxes and I worked 4 months in each one. Now I am working in another company with a full-time contract and from the first payment they are withholding 32.5% (4,010 monthly salary). It is worth clarifying that it still does not exceed 45,000 dollars per year, so I do not understand why before they withheld 15% from me and now 32.5%? The company tells me that an annual income is estimated based on my weekly earnings, but even so in my previous jobs I earned more weekly and they retained 15% and now I earn less and they retain 32.5%...

Can someone help me, please

Hi @DANILOAA,

I'm very well thanks for asking. Hope you're well also. 😊

The problem could be that your new employer isn't registered as a working holiday maker. If they're not registered as a working holiday maker, then they'll withhold at the higher rate.

This is something that you may need to chat with your employer about.
