i have recently being recognized as a Australian resident for tax purposes and to let the ATO know i need to fill the withholding declaration. i was planning to apply it through online but it mentioned "The last date for lodgement is 30 April of the application year. If your application is approved, you have until 31 May of the application year to lodge amendments."

Can some somebody explain what this means?

Also the question number 5 asks for a estimation, can i fill as no if i do not know exactly how much.

Also since my tax deduction hasn't change yet and I've been charged more, can this we recovered on the tax return

Thanks in advance

You can inform the ATO on your change of residency on the next tax return. This link explains

To inform your employer of your change of residency I suggest filling out the download form, printing it out and giving it to your payer.
