I need to get a linking code as I have no other things, apart from linked bank account, that can help prove I am me. Lines have been busy for days and I really need this as I need to link by My Gov account to the ATO. Can someone help? I would also like to know, when I call, what number to press so I don't have to be passed on to someone else to get this code

As you're unable to link your myGov to the ATO with the questions specific to you, you're correct, you'll need to contact us to get a linking code.
If you contact the number on the linked page, the operative will be able to supply you with a linking code. I know its sometimes hard to get through - try when we open at 8am its sometimes quieter then.

Hi, I'm having the same issue, however, when I phone up and go through to the options I always get to a point where it simply says "Our service is currently experiencing peak demand, so we cannot take your call at this moment" and hangs up on me.
I've been trying for the past few weeks at various different times of the day to no avail.
Is there a problem with the phone service at the moment? Is there any other way to get a linking code?
