Hi, I have a credit card terminal and I process my own credit card on the terminal to receive funds from which I then use to make BAS payments via BPay.

Are the merchant fees incurred for using my card deductible for this purpose?

It is similar to using a third party service like Sniip and pay com au.

Hi @elitebhy,

Yep. You can claim a tax deduction for the everyday running costs of the business that include tax related expenses.

  • These expenses are for things such as:
  • Paying tax agent or bookkeeper fees.
  • And credit card charges, payment fees associated with paying business taxes like a BAS.
