My employer separates out how much HELP I pay monthly and I can see that I have paid more than the amount owing. I have also done my calculations and note that I have paid the correct tax to date. Can I seek to cease my repayments or must I wait till I lodge my tax return?

Hi @Dev_Singh

It'll depend. You can provide your employer with a new TFN declaration notice advising that you no longer need to have the HECS repayments deducted. But its best to wait until the return is finalised to make sure that the whole amount has been repaid as sometimes the amount can change.
