I am currently on a 482 visa, and will be applying for another 482 visa. A health exam is required for the application. Can I claim this when I do my tax return?

No the cost would not be claimable. You can only claim deductions from your income once you are employed. For example if you had to get a health exam for your employer each year, to keep your job then it would be a deduction.
