I am employed as a regular contractor for an employer who has been recently advised by its accountant that they are responsible for superannuation guarantee for my service. I am currently paid $2100 for each service.

They wish to deduct from this the 11% super guarantee ie now pay me $1869 and contribute $231 to my super fund. Should this super be deducted from my regular ordinary fee or should I still receive my ordinary fee of $2100 and the 11% super of $231 be added to it?

Hi @hewitt_141,

The amount of super to pay will be percentage of your ordinary time earnings (OTE). Your OTE being a contractor is your labour charges and not materials for example.

They should be paying the Super Guarantee in addition and not reduce your earnings.
