In 2015 I entered a Part IX debt agreement. I paid it off completely in 2019.

It is still listed on my ATO accounts and each year my tax return is delayed for manual processing due to this. In 2022 and 2023, my tax return took over two months although the agreement is paid off and has been closed.

I have spoken to several ATO representatives and been given a different answer each time, ranging from "it's permanent and will impact my tax forever" to "just email it through and I will sort it" (which they didn't).

I need ONE simple, accurate answer. How do I remove this debt agreement from my account?

Hello,

Once any role (Part IX included) is on the account there is no way for the ATO to remove it unfortantely, it can be end dated which i assume it has been but it cannot be removed.

Im sorry!

Thanks
