Hi I received superannuation guarantee voucher in my super but I am not sure how it was calculated. Was it paid by my ex employer? I know my ex employer has delayed in paying my super and has not been paying any late payment interest. I have asked them to lodge the SGC and pay me back for all the late payment interest and shortfall. Is this the late payment interest due to my super? Will I get a statement on the breakdown and how it is calculated? Thank you.

Hi @Miqinee

Yep, your correct in your info.

The voucher is given to employees where their employer didn't pay the minimum super amount. The employer lodges a form with the us and has to make up the shortfall. This includes an amount of interest and is then sent to the employee's superfund.

You should receive a breakdown showing how its calculated.

You may want to talk to your super fund if you haven't received this.
