Why is there a Maximum super contribution base which reduces my General super guarantee to 7.4% of my yearly salary? It reduces my superannuation amount, reduces the tax I pay on my superannuation over the $27,500 threshold. The only thing that it improves is the company I work for pays me less than my employment contract states in terms of meeting the Superannuation Guarantee Act.
