I have only earned $61.36 from DoorDash and I am under the tax-free income threshold, do I still need to declare my doordash activities in my tax return and if so what steps should I take as I have paid 0 taxes on it?
Hi @lachie22100
Yes! You earn income from DoorDash under an ABN. This counts as business income. You'll need to report all business income on a tax return, even if it's $1.
You'll still have the tax-free threshold, but that applies to total taxable income. If you've got employment income, both forms of income combine for total taxable income.
You report this under business income or loss on the tax return, in myTax through myGov.
