Hi,

If a person is an Australia Citizen, who has a property in Australia, however he spent more than 183 days outside of Australia in 2024. Would he be deemed an Australian tax resident? Does it matter if he decides to live in another country later? Or if he hasn't made up his mind whether to live in Australia or not?

It's up to you to determine whether you are a tax resident of Australia or a foreign resident depending on the facts of the situation. Sometimes it is cut and dried such as emigrating to another country (foreign resident from day of departure). If venturing overseas what your intention will be while overseas determines this. The tax residency tool can be useful
