If an expat returns from overseas after living on their superannuation pension account from age 60, what are the requirements to obtain the age pension at 67 and portability of the pension once received?

Does the expat have to be residing in Australia for a certain time before they can apply or can they apply 13 weeks before their 67th birthday as long as in Australia at the time of application?

I continually hear about a 2 year period of being resident for portability of the pension but is that 2 year period from before applying ie 65 to 67 or after it is obtained at 67 to 69?

This is a question you'll need to ask Centrelink. They manage the adminstration of the pension.
