Hi guys. I set up a payment plan on the 09/07 for my first payment to come out on the 11/07 and another one to come out on the 18/07. I had enough funds for the first lot to come out only to see that it got dishonoured on the 15/07. I put some more money in my bank account that I chose for the money to come out of - only to see that the 18/07 has said it’s been paid - but the money hasn’t come out of my bank account yet. Can somebody please confirm if they’ve had this problem before? Or how long does it take them to take the money out of your account. I thought Direct Debit was instant 😫

Hmmm… I'm not sure why the first payment didn't go through for you if money was available.
You can make a catch-up payment for the first instalment to make sure the payment plan stays active, but it might be a good idea to contact us and check the account too. We've made an article on Setting up an ATO payment plan that you might find helpful with future transactions too.
Electronic payments can sometimes take up to 4 days business days to go through. If it's not showing by then you can check with your bank that the money's been sent to us.
