Hello. I’m in the process of completing mine and my husband’s tax returns.

My husband made a lump sum payment of $15000 into his super fund and I’ve reflected it under “Personal Super Contributions”.

I have some questions:

1.My husband also makes salary sacrifice payments each week. Is this the amount that the employer reflects at “Reportable employer superannuation contributions”?

2.We’re unable to see where the employers super guarantee is reflected. The employer didn’t include this separately in the pre-fill as far as we can see. Is it included in the “Gross Payments” line?

kind regards.

  1. Yes
  2. SG is not shown anywhere

You must have lodged a notice of intent to claim to the super fund, and received the confirmation letter from the fund.

If 15000 + SG + sal sac amount = more than conc cap, there will be an excess conc contribution.

Best to get proper advice, relevant to your circumstances, from a local tax agent.
