Workers Compensation and Benefits

Your leave entitlements and accrual circumstances will be defined in your industrial instruments: Awards, Agreements, Contracts and Policies. Perhaps that detail may be on your employer's intranet? If not, seek assistance from your HR team. The Fair Work Ombudsman (https://www.fairwork.gov.au/employment-conditions/workers-compensation/payments-and-leave-while-on-workers-compensation) refers to this matter only generally, not for your government industrial instruments. Those industrial instruments will also specify if they pay super on WC. The minimum SG obligations under the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992 excludes WC absences from OTE and therefore no super is payable. However, the industrial instruments may specify SG obligations for WC. Deanne
