Hi there,

I have some equipment that I use for business which can potentially be used privately as well (weekends etc).

When working out the business use, what level of detail do you have to go to in terms of a diary or log?

Do you have to include start and end times for hours of use for business eg. it was used for 3 hours (9am to 12pm) on this business day, or is it reasonable to calculate business use as being used / available solely for business use on any business day Mon-Fri or business day hours 9-5 (based on working hours) when it wouldn't otherwise be used privately?

Howdy @calmon,

Whatever works best for you and your business/records.

As long as you have clear records that show when it was used for business, then however you choose to record it would be fine.
