When I try to use my Medicare card as secondary ID for mygovId, it does not allow me to enter the month. It has entered 1/yyyy but my card expires 7/yyyy. The only control is the spinner on the phone (no keyboard) so I can't see how to correct it. It rejected the card.

Hey @granitaham,

Well, that's very odd 😕

When entering Medicare card details into your myGovID, it will first ask for your,

  • Card Number.
  • Your individual reference number (the number next to your name).
  • The exact spelling of your name (how it appears on your card).
  • The colour of your card.
  • Expiry date.

When it comes to entering in the expiry date you should have a scroll spinner for both month and year.

Check out verifying your identity on our website.

If your still having troubles entering in the details, you may need to contact the MyGovID help desk, for further assistance.
